Regrettably, the time we have with our pets is always too short. Our hearts ache when they cross the Rainbow Bridge. Pet portraits offer an exquisite means to express your adoration for your cherished pet. A pet portrait can provide comfort in the years ahead.
Grieving pet owners can find solace in a personalized pet portrait, commemorating the life and memories of their departed furry friend. This meaningful gift allows them to reflect on the joyous times spent with their beloved companion whenever they lay eyes on the exquisite artwork.
Turn their tears into smiles with a custom portrait that captures the quirks and personality of their beloved pet. It's a wag-tastic way to bring comfort and remind them of the unconditional love they shared.
A pet portrait serves not only as a cherished memorial but a touching gift for any pet owner. These timeless portraits become treasured family heirlooms, lasting a lifetime. Give a meaningful and unforgettable gift with a pet portrait that will emotionally resonate with your loved ones.
Below is my portfolio of recent commissions.
Allow me to create a spectacular custom pet portrait for you or as a gift to your favorite pet lover! I create realistic custom pet portraits from high-quality images provided by my customers. I ask that you send me approximately 2-5 shots of the pet you want painted. If you need more than one pet in the commission, you can give me separate photographs to work from. I will combine the pets in one portrait or do separate portraits of each pet for you. I work primarily in oil paints.
To get a good understanding of what type of reference photos are required, take a look at the photos posted with most of the portraits. You will see the realism and likeness of each portrait.
Once I receive your reference photos, we will discuss portrait size, subject matter, time, and type of background you would like, I will be able to provide pricing.
I typically use the following canvas sizes for portraits: 9"x 12", 11"x14" and 16"x20". I only use the highest quality oil and acrylic paints with the richest pigments so that your portrait will last a lifetime. Each portrait is finished off with a protective coating that not only brings out the colors of the paint more making it more realistic, but protects your painting.
A 50% deposit is due when I begin the commission and the remainder will be due upon completion of the portrait. Updates will be sent to each clients throughout the process and I will send a photo or live video of the piece before delivery. At that time, you will have an opportunity to request a small modification if you feel something is off. This has never needed to be done because my clients have been 100% satisfied with the likeness of the portrait.
Portrait prices do not include frames. You have a choice of framing it yourself or I will select a frame for you and let you know what the charge is.
You can also commission me for any landscape or still life that inspires you or that you would like to give as unique gift to someone you love.
Feel free to contact me through this site or call me at 203-942-0145 to discuss a portrait for you or someone you love! Please be aware that I will need approximately 2 months to complete the project depending on the time of year. Holidays may require more advanced notice due to volume.
I do not use any digital art on my fine art paintings unless you request a digital painting. Every brush stroke is done by me with care to get the most realistic likeness possible.
This stunning 9" x 12" oil painting depicts an endearing cat and dog. If you notice one green eye and one blue eye, your eyes are not deceiving you. The exquisite cat actually possesses two different colored eyes. I am particularly fond of how the cat gazes at the dog with affection while the dog appears to be ignoring the cat. Their facial expressions are captured beautifully and truly reflect their unique personalities. Using reference photos of this nature results in the most impressive pet portraits.

Using a photograph of their beloved cat, the client commissioned me to create this one-of-a-kind digital art portrait on a 9"x 12" canvas.
Check out this 9x12" portrait of Pia the cat, cuddled up in vibrant towels! It was the perfect reference for my stunning painting - the image is crisp and captures every detail of the furry feline. The pose adds just the right amount of charm and intrigue to the finished piece.
This oil painting is a sample that showcases the quality of my work. The reference photo used is shown in the last photo, and all of my paintings are hand-painted from this reference. Due to the layering and drying process, oil paintings can take up to 6 weeks or more to complete, making them more labor-intensive and time-consuming compared to acrylic paints.
